We want to provide vocational teachers in the health care sector and minority language teachers with innovative tools. These tools are aimed at instructing and assisting migrants in becoming proficient in the (minority) languages required for working in the health care sector

The project

The COMBI project “Communication competences for migrants and disadvantaged background learners in bilingual work environments” is to develop innovative and inclusive/systemic practices and methods focused on acquiring communication competences in the languages required in the workplace. It takes into consideration the multilingual reality of European regions.

Objectives

The aim of this method is not to acquire full competences in two or more languages, but to make sure that the regional language is taken into consideration as far as it fulfils language requirements in the workplace thanks to innovative teaching methods.

  • Development of training modules
  • Pilot training
  • Multiplier events to disseminate the results of the project

The members of COMBI Advisory Board

COMBI Advisory Board has the task to forward the outcomes of the COMBI project to its network and hence function as an ambassador of the project. In the role as ambassadors of the project, the board members are invited to participate to COMBI project activities and dissemination actions such as workshops and multiplier events during the project to facilitate the transfer of knowledge.
